Caleta Bordeli
After crossing the Golfo de Penas, we feel like he have now properly entered the fiords of Patagonia. The hills become high rising mounts and cliffs, the water turns light turquoise and water streams appear at each turn of a corner. We turn into Caleta Bordeli and find a welcoming cove where we tie to stern lines to shore at the foot of a steep stone wall. The maneuver is done under the rain and we find ourselves invited obliged to celebrate our arrival with a dip in the water. This pleasant bath is quickly interrupted a squall bringing 40 of breeze and heavy hail!
Our first walk in the nature and rain in this area has us amazed by all the different types of moss and small floor plants which make up a beautiful and comfortable carpet to absorb our very frequent falls!
Up on the northern side of the estuary it was possible to follow a stream for a short while and find an abundance of Calafate Berries. There we also spotted a confused otter returning from an aquatic venture.
