Two large bays with sandy beaches and a steep shelving, but it is still possible to drop the anchor in 20 m and feel comfortably positioned. It is worth the view on the majestic Melimoyu Volcano, which even in the middle of summer is coated with a thick layer of snow.
On shore, in the eastern bay, there is a small village of the same name as the Volcano and a small convenience shop. The pier is the only access to this village, as there are no roads linking it to the rest of the country. It is frequented by the fishermen from the nearby salmoneras which you can find enjoying a drink near the water in the evenings. On shore there are horses freely roaming and you could run into a hornless bull with a mohawk.
